The cult of Black and white cinematic symbolism (Part 4.5)...white fascist charades and Spike Lee's 'Chiraq'...

The parents of Michael Brown, the young Black man shot dead on August 9^th, 2014 in Ferguson, Missouri, testified before the United Nations Committee Against Torture on November 11^th of that same year.

Lesley McSpadden and Michael Brown Sr. both stated that, “We need the world to know what's going on in Ferguson and we need justice.” Lesley also said, “We need answers and we need action. And we have to bring it to the U.N. so they can expose it to the rest of the world, what's going on in small town Ferguson.”

Now, if you're a Black man or woman reading this, you need to know that the thrill-kill white police force of Ferguson, Missouri, and the rest of america, didn't think Black people had the intellect or temerity to take the matter that far. After the top brass of Ferguson police found out another young Black man had been killed by them, they thought, well, maybe the certified pre-owned negroes will march and hold up picket signs, but beyond that, the matter will blow over in a week or two.

But the strong-minded, completely self-possessed young Black men and women of Ferguson we're like, to hell with this...we're gonna' burn this damn town down!

And for nearly an entire month, that's exactly what they did.

Now, there's always gonna' be some uncle Remus type of Black person who'll say how stupid our young people are for revolting, and they'll continue to ask the question: Why do they burn down their own neighborhoods? But what these head-scratchin', shoe shinin' types don't realize is our young people didn't burn down the homes, apartments, or residences they lived in; they burned down the retail stores neither they nor their parents owned. And some of these same shufflin' negroes will say how disgraceful it was for our young people to loot those stores; but what they don't realize is our young people weren't looting. What they were engaging in is what one Black Nationalist leader calls, 'self-accommodating reparations'.

Now, if you're a young Black man or woman reading this, I'm NOT encouraging you to take things from stores, what I'm attempting to do is show middle-aged Black folks, like myself, how you've struck the single greatest blow to white fascism I've seen in my life with the Ferguson revolution.

So behind this and Michael Brown's parents speaking at the U.N., the whole of white american cop culture was put on blast to the entire world. And they had a problem. Seeing as how they were being globally vilified and watched, they feared not being able to kill us as indiscriminately as they'd been doing. Cause again, their dirty laundry was being aired out.

What they needed was a public relations 'fixer' to run some 'damage control' so they could cast the trigger-happy, white american cop in a better light. But what they needed more, was a complicitous negro who could show the world how intrinsically savage and better armed these young Black men were, so white cops could justify shooting us down like dogs.

Enter Spike Lee's latest 'joint', 'Chiraq'.

Now, this movie is based on a comedy titled, 'Lysistrata', penned by the greek author Aristophanes. This story tells the tale of how greek women went on a 'sex strike' in order to end the Peloponnesian War (which was fought from 431–404 B.C.). 

So essentially, this movie was gonna' be the satirical way that Spike drew attention to the unprecedented gun violence of Chicago's poor and working class Black communities. Thus the name 'Chiraq', a Hip-Hop euphemism combining the names of the asian country 'Iraq' and the american city of 'Chicago'. But right off the rip, I saw this flick for what it really was, a piece of dumb-founded propaganda.

First off, one of the strongest messages Spike's sending with this film is that young Black men are such knuckle-dragging neanderthals, that the only way they'll stop shooting and killing each other is if Black women cut off their sex supply. Cause ya' know, every Black man is oversexed, right?

Now, I haven't seen this film...and I WON'T!

I'm not gonna' spend a bad penny seeing this crap movie. 'Cause to keep it real with y'all, the reason this movie was put out, was to portray Black men as gun-toting sociopaths to mainstream (i.e. white) america, so in their eyes, white cops will be justified when they shoot us down or chock us out. All this movie is doing is scapegoating young Black men so white cops can have an easier time, than they already do, killing us in droves.

So one question I'd ask Spike is this: Why didn't you make a documentary about creating better gun laws, or enforcing better restrictions on gun manufacturers. Cause I guarantee you, if every 'illegal' gun used in a crime came with the consequence of fining the gun manufacturer, you'd see half these pistols disappear overnight.

Another question I'd ask Spike is: If no Black man or woman owns a gun manufacturing company, then how do these guns get to our communities? 

Let me give you an example of what I'm talking about: The 'Glock' gun manufacturing company is located in Vienna, Austria. 

Now, Glocks have become part of the popular vernacular of rap music. And being that this flick is taking a look at the problem of Chicago's gun violence from the perspective of a young, thuggish rapper (Nick Cannon?), I'd like to know how these pistols are able to travel from Austria, all the way to america, and how they then find their way from the shores of this country to the poor and working class Black neighborhoods of the u.s.

And of course, someone's gonna' come back at me saying that Glock has opened a manufacturing plant in america. Smyrna, Georgia to be exact. To that I'll say, approximately 65% of police guns are Glocks. So when these guns leave the Georgia warehouse, at least half of them are gonna' wind up being shipped to police precincts. So again, how do these guns get to poor and working class Black neighborhoods? Wouldn't guns designated for cop use, have tighter restrictions on them? And if not, why not?

Now you're probably thinking, just cause a lot of guns show up in our neighborhoods, don't mean we have to use them. And that's true. But here's my question regarding that statement: How come huge amounts of guns and drugs find their way to poor Black communities, even though we don't grow or manufacture them, but huge amounts of resources like jobs never do. And if you flood guns and drugs into an already impoverished community, what do you think is gonna' happen?

I liken this scenario to what happens in the american educational system, especially in our communities; in so much as, not only do they give us the most conditioning to hate ourselves, but white fascists know that if they overcrowd and under-fund any organization, it's doomed to fail.

Now this movie also speaks to how despicable it is for our communities to engage in so much 'Black-on-Black' crime...with or without guns. So with that said, let's see how white people fair in terms of violent crimes compared to our communities. Now, according to the FBI's most recent homicide numbers available from 2011, a staggering 83% of whites were killed by...wait for it...other white people. So here's my question: How come we never hear about these alarming incidences of 'white-on-white' crime?

Now behind filming this crap flick, I'm hoping our people know that Spike is a white fascist freemason. And I can hear what you're probably thinkin', you're like bruh, you say that about everyone. By now I'm pretty sure that the Black Diaspora is savvy enough to realize that almost every single celebrity, Black or white, is one. Like I said previously, 'celebrity' is a white fascist construct used as a means of population control...period. One of the only exceptions might have been Dave Chappelle, and they finally got to him too...which is one of the reasons he's in this flick. 

Now being a Black freemason, means at some point the white fascists are gonna' call on you to perform some kinda' buck-dancing soft shoe; which is what's happening here. And if you notice lately, Spike has taken

to wearing a solid red tie (as pictured above). This is one of the identifiers of a freemason. A solid blue tie marks a freemason with 'higher' blood connections to these fraternities...this essentially means that this person's down with the 'blue bloods'. 

Now, Jay-Z doesn't come from one of these families, but he pays homage to them in his song, 'Empire State of mind', when he says, “You should know I bleed blue, but I ain't a crip though.” This is also why he named his child, 'Blue Ivy'.

So I've said all that to say this, every Black man and woman reading this should BOYCOTT THIS CRAP FILM!!

If you wanna' spend twenty and thirty dollars on something, give that money to a Black home-schooling co-operative that needs it. 

And let me also say this...I DON'T EXPECT SPIKE TO BE PERFECT!

If you're a Black man or woman living in america, not one of us has escaped being affected by this white fascist social order. Myself included. So I can forgive Spike for making a bad movie (Da' sweet Blood of jesus). What I can't forgive is Spike purposely throwing his people under the bus, in service to some damn white freemasons and their hired killers we call cops. One of my all-time favorite films is Spike Lee's 'Malcolm X'; and for that he'll always have a special place in my heart; but with the release of this flick, I don't ever wanna' hear him utter another derogatory word about Tyler Perry EVER AGAIN!

Matter of fact, Spike and Tyler should DEFINITELY work together after this. 'Cause with the release of 'Chiraq', Spike's saying to the world that he's got nothing to lose, 'cause he has NO STANDARDS WHATSOEVER!

And like Sam Jackson said in Spike's film, 'Do The Right Thing': “That's the triple truth, Ruth.”

The cult of Black and white cinematic symbolism (Part 3)...The movie 'Straight Outta Compton', whitey's golden word and mo' bold-faced lies...

On April 27th, of 2011, the New York Times published an article saying that according to the 'Nielsen' TV ratings agency, Black americans watch two more hours of television per day than the national average of five hours and eleven minutes.

Now, I'd been hearing this statistic for more than a decade, so this highly respected periodical was basically regurgitating old news. And since I'm a curious-minded type of fellow, after seeing this, I went about doing some research on that stat.

What I found out was two things specifically about the Nielsen TV ratings agency...

One: The Nielsen agency has been caught more than once fabricating numbers on TV and other entertainment medium's ratings.

Two: The Nielsen agency didn't give out what they called, 'Nielsen TV boxes', to Black families. Now for those who don't know, Nielsen TV ratings boxes, were what this agency gave to families to monitor their TV viewing habits, and what they based their ratings on.

Now, if you're a Black man or woman reading this, ask yourself, have you ever known a Black family with one of these ratings boxes in their homes?

I didn't think so.

See, white fascists spread this rumor as the gospel truth, so Black people could feel mentally inferior to every other ethnic group. Understand, for whitey to win, the Black Diaspora has to be kept in constant cycles of self-hatred, so Black men and women can keep despising themselves and each other. white fascists do this so we don't form stable relationships that could turn into marriages. 'Cause what that would produce, is more pure-bred, or pure-bred looking Black babies that could grow up with the greatest genetic power to breed them out of existence.

So, this article in the New York Times was a 'bald-faced lie'.

Now, I remember when the film director Spike Lee put out his movie, 'Crooklyn', on May 13th, 1994; after it underperformed at the box office, I saw him make this statement on TV: “Maybe we (the Black Diaspora), just wanna' see hood films all the time.”

Fast forward to 2006, Spike Lee puts out another one of his 'joints' called 'Inside Man'. And while it was still in theaters, I heard him state to the Black Diaspora on television: “Check your tickets, when you go see my movie.”

What Spike found out was, theaters were giving people different tickets when they paid to see Inside Man. For example, someone paying to see Spike's 'Inside Man', might have gotten a ticket for 'Rocky 14' playing in a different auditorium.

So the white fascist media's box office tallies for Spike Lee's 'Inside Man', was another 'bold-faced lie'.

Now, on August 14th, 2015, the movie 'Straight Outta Compton' was said to have grossed the most box office dollars in america.

And right after this happened, I know of several 'pro-Black' bloggers who said how disgraceful it was for Black people to flock to this movie over the course of that weekend.

But here's my question, based on the aforementioned info. about white fascist media, and how they've been known to tell bald-faced lies about damn near everything concerning our Diaspora, why were these bloggers so quick to take whitey at his word?

Cause the only thing they had to legitimize this movie had indeed come in at number one, was just that...whitey's golden word.

And for anyone saying, well, why would the white media say this movie came in at number one, if it didn't? Here's my question: why wouldn't they?

Understand, the greatest weapon white fascism has against our people, is their ability to keep us hating ourselves and each other. So they're always gonna' cast us in a negative light, their very survival depends on it. Thus, white fascist movie studios 'green-lit' a film about so-called 'gangsta rap' music.

And the majority of these 'pseudo-conscious' and 'anglophilic pro-Black' bloggers, fell into the trap of using this as yet another reason to rant about how much they hate Black people, and how they ultimately hate themselves for being Black.

Now, at the same time 'Straight Outta Compton' came in at number one, supposedly, the number two movie was, 'Mission Impossible 3: Rogue Nation'.

And I've had a chance to see this film. Mind you, I didn't pay to see it in theaters. That's another story I'll discuss in another post (lol!). Anyway, in this film there just happens to be a scene where Tom Cruise's character, 'Ethan Hunt', and his cohort go to the opera in Vienna, Austria. In this scene you see all the pageantry and splendor associated with these kinds of productions; and this is in stark contrast to what you see in 'Straight Outta Compton'.

There's also a scene, where Ethan's agent friend is ascending a stairway in the opera house and there's an over the shoulder shot of a Black woman with her white man friend attending the show. Mind you, you don't see another Black person in this scene at all. This is just another sublime message saying that Black men and women have to be kept separated.

Now, it's not a coincidence that the number two movie in america, just happens to show off the opulence of this stuffy, spiritually dead, euro-centric music, at a time when a movie about 'gangsta rap' is number one...again, supposedly.

So I did some research to find out more info. about the box office tallies for the weekend of August 14, 2015; and every mainstream top ten list I saw indeed had 'Straight Outta' Compton' as that weekend's number one flick. So I looked for info. about the ethnic demographics of theater going audiences attending this movie. I wanted to see the ratio of Black people who went to see this film and gauge that against how many white people saw it; but I hit yet another dead end. But when I went to the 'International Movie Data Base' (IMDB) website and read how they tallied box office receipts through a company called, 'Box Office Mojo', it revealed a very interesting fact about their tallying techniques.

In regards to their box office stats, the website stated: 'Daily box office charts show gross receipts for a single day and are generally reported for the previous day by noon Pacific Time. Some movies are not officially tracked on a daily basis, so Box Office Mojo makes estimates for those titles to fill out the top twelve (movies). These estimates are marked as such on the chart. If daily reporting stops for a given movie it does not necessarily mean the movie is no longer playing in theaters, and the movie may continue to be tracked on a weekend and weekly basis. 

Now, let me put this in layman's terms; what these people are saying is, at their discretion, they can stop tallying box office receipts for any film that's still playing in theaters. Mind you, they do say when they stop tracking a movie's ticket sales, they make a note of this on their movie's top ten lists. But, if people aren't curious enough to look for these 'marks' or 'notes', or Box Office Mojo neglects to make these marks or notes obvious to the average person, all they'll see is the numbered ranking of the films on their list. They'll have no idea that one or a couple of these movies aren't having their box office receipts tallied. 

I went to the Box Office Mojo site looking for some sort of indicator telling people a certain movie's receipts weren't being tallied on a daily basis, and found no indication of this whatsoever. 

So basically, this company has all the opportunities it needs, in regards to showing which movies earned the most money, to manipulate their list and tell one mo' bald-faced lie.

Now ultimately, my question is this: when are Black people gonna' start treating white fascists, and their media, like the liars they are and have proven themselves to be?

I need every Black man and woman reading this to understand one fact at a very visceral level; and that is, the white fascist media has only one goal...and that's to keep Black people hating themselves and feeling inferior to them. So before you just take whitey at his word, do some research to make sure you're not just nodding your head and accepting whatever ol' massa tells you is true. Like the movie 'Straight Outta Compton' came in at number one.

Remember 'his-story' has nothing to do with ours!

So I'm hoping our Diaspora can see the 'Straight Outta Compton' movie for what it really is...another white fascist tool to keep Black people looking like gun-toting, drug-dealing, sociopathic savages. It's another tool to keep us hating ourselves family.

Now, my last question to my people, at least in regards to this post is, even if we do stop accepting whitey's word as golden, will we do this before it's too late?

Only time will tell...and unfortunately, that's something we're quickly running out of.

So let's be about the work of giving the white fascist residing in our minds an eviction notice!

And the sooner we throw this inbred out on the street, the better!

The gospel of white supremacy...

'African Americans watched two hours more television per day than the national average of 5 hours and 11 minutes according to a report recently released by Nielsen, the TV ratings agency.'

Ever since I can remember, there's been a statistic stating that Black people watch more TV than any other ethnic group.

Now, what's being implied here is the reason Black americans are at the bottom rung of society, is because we don't have the mental capacity for 'higher learning' that's inherent in most other people and we're shiftless sloths who are notoriously hedonistic. 

In layman terms, the white elite are saying all we want out of life is good sex, comfortable shoes and a warm place to go the bathroom.  

Now, the average Black person who sees this will internalize this information and walk around consciously or subconsciously thinking it's true; in turn, this will reinforce the reason(s) why they should hate themselves for being Black.

And usually this is where the story ends. But, if you're a Black person with a curious mind, you'll do a little research to check the veracity of these findings. Now, being that I've done some writing in the past about the Nielsen TV agency, I know they quantify ratings information from 'Nielsen TV boxes' they give to families so their viewing habits can be monitored. And my past research also showed me two other things; one, the Nielsen TV ratings agency has been caught more than once fabricating and basically telling bald-faced lies about ratings numbers; and two, they don't give out Nielsen TV ratings boxes to Black families.  

Think a minute...have you ever known of a Black family who owned a Nielsen TV ratings box?

I didn't think so. 

And even if one Black family has one of these boxes, you'd be hard pressed to find several that do; and if you're going to put out these kind of propaganda pieces, at least have a correct amount of people in the case study to substantiate your findings. 

But based on this outrageously false information, the New York Times, one of the most respected periodicals in the world, is telling Black people that we're dumb 'cause we watch more TV. 

And we always take whitey's word as the the 'gospel truth.'

Another case in point is whitey's obsession with the world's 'overpopulation' problem. 

The inbreds who call themselves elites say in a hundred years or in several decades, there won't be enough resources to feed the swelling masses of humans now inhabiting the earth. What this does is keep people in a suspended state of 'poverty-mindedness'; meaning, they've got the populous thinking there's only a finite amount of resources for each man, woman and child, so we shouldn't want or ask for too much, and by no means, should we want the abundant resources the elites enjoy. 

But, upon doing a little research, you'll find that the 7 billion people populating the earth could fit comfortably in the continental united states; because the majority of the land masses on this planet are mainly uninhabited as you can see when you fly over them.

When you do a bit more research you'll find when these pale-skinned degenerates talk about 'over-population', what they're really talking about is how the world's populated with too many 'non-white' people. They understand how they're the world's real minority; and now since white birth rates are falling below replacement levels, they're really scrambling to 'depopulate' countries and continents primarily inhabited by our people. So you and I are going to see more 'super-viruses' these inbreds have cooked up in labs, seemingly coming out of nowhere to infect and essentially kill off Black people globally at faster rates (Ebola virus).

Now, recently, the movie 'No Good Deed' was touted as being the number one movie in america; for the dates of September 12, 13th and 14th respectively, to the displeasure of myself and others; and I wrote a post called 'No good negroes' addressing my problems with the movie's self-destructive message before it came out.

Now, several bloggers have written about their being perplexed as to why the Black Diaspora would go out and support this kind of movie when at it's core, it speaks about Black men and women killing each other and sublimely suggests how the Black nuclear family is a thing of the past. But this incident reminds me of another which kind of puts this whole debacle in perspective...for me at least. 

Spike Lee, who can't get enough accolades for his film accomplishments in my opinion, put out a brilliant movie called 'Inside Man' in 2006. While on a press junket promoting the film, he stated emphatically that Black people should check their tickets. Because he found out how individual movie theaters were giving patrons purchasing tickets for Inside Man, tickets to other films within the theater. So essentially, people paying for Inside Man tickets might get a ticket for the auditorium showing 'Weekend at Bernie's 12' or something. That's how much whitey was invested in making sure Spike's film didn't meet the numbers it needed to stay in theaters.

Now, fast forward to 'No Good Deed' in 2014 being the number one movie in america. In the post I wrote about this flick originally, I found out how the Screen Gems film studio who made this piece of crap movie, had originally slated this to be released on January 14th of this year, for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday; yep, Mr. Charley was that interested in Black folks seeing this flick. But they pushed the date back knowing they'd be up against Universal's movie 'Ride Along' starring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart. Guess they figure Black people can't mentally handle having two choices for films catering to their demographic. But here's my point, might what happened with Spike's 'Inside Man' be a reflection of 'No Good Deed's' making it to number one? Might people purchasing tickets for other films been given a ticket for the craptastic 'No Good Deed'?

I've done some research on the box office tally numbers for 'No Good Deed', and all sources say, this film sold the most tickets, but if these 'ticket swaps' happened who'd be the wiser? They definitely wouldn't reflect anywhere in the mainstream media. But we, the Black Diaspora, would still be duped into believing, the majority of us went out to see this flick. 

Now, before you say, we'll that's not likely to happen, let me say, firstly, it did happen to Spike; and secondly, why wouldn't whitey do this to serve his agenda of reinforcing and triggering our conditioned self-hatred with this flick?

And I'll also say, it pissed me off when I saw some bloggers talking about Black people like we're the dumbest people on the planet behind this film coming in at number one. There's a lot of people who claim to be pro-Black bloggers, but when any thing goes awry where Black people are concerned, these sell-outs are the first ones to talk about Black people like we've got no sense. It's sickening to see someone claiming they have our people's best interest at heart talk about us like trash as soon as something runs afoul in our diaspora. 

So who's side are these sell-outs really on?

Answer: their own...and whitey's. 

If you're a Black blogger who spends the majority of your time talking about how stupid Black people are; just come out of the closet and call yourself an anglophile, or whitey's lapdog. And if you're selling Black people on the notion that prayer is the answer to all our problems, might I advise you to realize how we, Black folk, do the most praying, and continually wind up getting the short end of the stick time and time again. 

And to those same bloggers let me ask this question about your deep, abiding love for whitey...how many times does this man have to lie to you, before you realize he's a pathological liar, and you start treating him like one? You were pissed off at 'No Good Deed' coming in at number one, well, did you ever think, maybe this film wasn't number one at all, but whitey is just telling us it was? And if you're saying why would he do that? I'm saying, 'cause he wants to put out the message that Black people should keep hating and hurting each other, so we don't form relationships that produce Black children, especially, pure bred looking Black children. 

To all you fair weather, pro-Black bloggers, I say stop dissin' your own kind so you can win ass-kissing points with Mr. Charley. 'Cause whether you know it or not, he wants your dumb-founded ass dead too!

IT'S WAY PAST TIME WE STOP TAKING WHITEY'S WORD FOR EVERYTHING AS THE GOSPEL TRUTH! REMEMER, THIS MAN IS YOUR ENEMY! SO STOP BEING STUCK ON STUPID AND TALK ABOUT HOW DASTARDLY WHITE FOLKS ARE ONCE IN A WHILE INSTEAD OF CONTINUOUSLY BAGGIN' ON BLACK PEOPLE!

And let me say again, in regards to the dysfunction in the Black community, PRAYER IS NOT THE ANSWER! Being a christian isn't the solution to every problem and quite frankly, we were given christianity by these pale-skinned, degenerate devils so our communities would be dysfunctional. Turn the other cheek, love your enemy, confess your sins to perfect strangers, and all that other crap mandated in your religion. 

The only thing that will end the dysfunction in the Black community is reconditioning ourselves at the subconscious level through meditation. This is the only way we'll truly change for the better and save the Black family in the process. Question is how dedicated are Black people to doing this work? And will we do this before it's too late?

Remember people, MONEY IS NOT THE REAL POWER...UNITY IS! It's gonna' take a mental transformation for us to save ourselves. So by all means...let's get to work!

The ballad of Radio Raheem...

The other week, I watched Oprah's interview with film director Spike Lee. 

And during the course of the interview Spike announced that 2014 would mark the 25th anniversary of the film 'Do The Right Thing'. 

Now to me and a lot of others, this movie is something beyond an ordinary film, it not only represents an important documenting of ethnic strife in New York during the late 80's, but it also shows Spike defining himself as one of my generations greatest auteurs. 

Unfortunately, I'm one of the few people who didn't see this movie in theaters. 

I could only imagine the visceral impact this flick made in cinema auditoriums. 

I remember a white woman I knew who saw the film, said she felt like she was gonna' die behind an ethnic riot that would erupt in the theater. 

Seeing whitey that uncomfortable would have been worth the ticket price alone.

I remember how white critics said this film was going to start revolts throughout this country; like all the hell Black folks were catching at the time wasn't enough for us to shut this country down. 

But one thing more than any other stuck with me about this film...and let me explain what that was. 

About a year ago, Spike was on one of New York's 'urban' radio statons; either Hot 97, or one that plays predominately Hip Hop music.

But before I touch on that, let me say something about the co-opting of the word 'urban'.

Now, the white elite have turned the word 'urban' into a euphemism for 'Black'. And mind you, they've only done this recently.

I was reminiscing about the 1980's movie 'Urban Cowboy'; and how John Travolta starred in this film. And I was thinking, had this film been made today, it would almost have to be some comedy about a senseless brotha who sang country music or something.

But this is how recently the word 'urban' got tethered to Black people via the white elites and their american social order. 

But back to Spike and his film...Spike was on a 'Hip-Hop' radio station talking to one of the white bois who was a program director and who claimed to be 'down' with the culture. 

You know the type, white guy wearing a backwards baseball cap, some Sean John jeans and the new 'Jordans'. 

Spike was speaking about his 'kickstarter' fund-raising campaign when he and this white guy started talking about 'Do The Right Thing'. 

Spike was reminiscing about how white people always asked him the same question about the film; and that question was: why did Mookie throw the garbage can through the window of Sal's famous pizzeria?

To which the 'down' white boi replied, "Yeah...I was wondering about that myself."

I just shook my head. 

That's when Spike held a clinic showing the white boi how Mookie's garbage can throw came behind the death of his friend Radio Raheem; who he'd just seen get choked to death by the gestapo-like cops of the NYPD.  

To which the white boi uttered, "Okay...now I get it."

This speaks directly to the indifference of Black suffering in the eyes of white people. And even the 'down-ass' white boi, was saying to himself...okay Radio Raheem died, but why are you bothering Sal's store? (Sal, played by Danny Aiello)

And to break it down even further, what white people are really saying when they ask about Mookie's garbage can throw is, it's just another nig@er dead...so what's the problem?

That's why one motto I always keep with me is, never overestimate white people...or underestimate their capacity to hate Blacks.

What really irks me is when you're the only Black person around a bunch of whites and they're mad at you.

They've committed the greatest atrocities to our people, and yet they're still mad at us. 

Wanna' know why?

'Cause our existence in this country is a prime example of their capacity for inhuman wickedness.

Besides the fact that Black people, and Black men especially, are able to literally breed them out of existence, our presence is a constant reminder of how they treated us in the antebellum south and how intrinsically dastardly, under-handed and morally repugnant they really are. 

They don't have an ethical highground on anything; and we're living proof of that. 

The scene in this movie that touches me the most, or for me, this movie's most woeful scene is when Smiley, the character who's a bit slow and sold pictures of Martin King and Malcolm X, is holding his head and crying out in pain after seeing Radio Raheem murdered.

Even though he was slow, he understood the gravity of what he saw.

And who could ever forget Radio Raheem's 'love vs. hate' soliloquy with those dope four finger rings...brilliant. 

And the story of Radio Raheem's killing struck such a chord with residents in Black neighborhoods, that even though he was a fictional character 'bombers' or graph artists erected 'burners' or murals to his memory. That spoke to how common an occurrence young Black men dying in our neighborhoods at the hands of police was and is. 

So, what I'll do to commemorate 'Do The Right Thing's'

anniversary is get the 'Criterion Collections' edition of this flick. 

Now, there is a DVD by Spike Lee called the 'Spike Lee Joint collection' that includes 'Do The Right Thing'; and I'd buy that, but I'm afraid it wouldn't have the 'special features' on the movie that I'm looking for.  

But what it does have is four more of Spike's films that include: Clockers, Mo' Better Blues, Jungle Fever and Crooklyn. 

I'll have to do more research and see which I'll buy; or, I might get 'em both.

But whichever DVD I purchase, I'll do what I usually do; pop the DVD in it's player and go straight to the 'special and bonus features' sections. 

So, I've said all that to say this, Spike deserves all the praise he gets not only for his films, but for having the courage enough to show his manhood through his films.

In the age of Tyler Perry's tranny minstrel shows, it's refreshing to see a Black man who's uncompromising in his approach and unwilling to settle for the white supremacist status quo, which is giving us movies like 'The Butler' and 'The Help'.

So Hotep and Kem Wesir to the Netjer/Neter/God Spike Lee!

Why Black FBI agents owe a debt of gratitude to Dr. Huey P. Newton...

I remember randomly walking through the aisles of my neighborhood library in my teens and seeing Dr. Huey P. Newton's autobiography 'Revolutionary Suicide' for the first time.

At the time, the Black Panthers were just a myth to me. I'd heard of them, but didn't know much about them, cause like every Black person in the american educational system, I'd been indoctrinated into worshipping the pansy-like stylings of Martin Luther King and Crispus Attucks. But after seeing the book's cover, something in me was moved to the point of picking it up. And once I held it in my hands, I stared at the infamous photo of Huey in the wicker chair with a spear in one hand and a rifle in the other for a good few minutes.

I couldn't wait to dive into the pages of this book, 'cause I knew with that kind of badass cover, there had to be some badass content inside.

Fast forward decades later...not only have I read the book twice, but I now know that Dr. Huey P. Newton received his Ph.D from the University of California, Santa Cruz. And ironically enough, the title of his published dissertation was: 'War against the Panthers: A study of repression in the united states'. 

I've also seen the way that white elites have defiled the book's original cover. In this post header's triptych at the far right you can see the original cover for the book. The book's co-opted cover art on the top left was designed by some lackey named 'Ho Che Anderson'. This is suppose to be some clever take on the name 'Ho Chi Minh' who was the communist revolutionary prime minister and president of Vietnam from 1945 to 1969. 

On this cover it shows a shotgun pointing at Dr. Newton's head. And if you opened the book and saw its full cover, you'd see it depicted someone who looks like a Black Panther pointing the shotgun at him. 

This is basically saying that Huey and the rest of the Panthers killed themselves 'cause they had the nerve to take up arms and do battle with the corrupted gestapo-like policemen in their communities. And on a banner over Huey's shoulder are the words 'Try Police'. This is suppose to be a sign protesting police corruption. But it's really saying Black folks should 'try' police in courtrooms to get some sort of justice. It's suggesting Black folks should trust police and the american (in)justice system despite the fact that it's never worked for our community at all. 

But I don't expect anything more from neo-liberal whites who are covertly bigoted themselves. 

One day, I watched Spike Lee's film of the broadway play, 'A Huey P. Newton Story'. This was written and produced by Roger Guenveur Smith (Roger is displayed on the DVD cover to the right. And he was in the movies 'Deep Cover', 'All about the Benjamins' and 'American Gangster'). This play had a short run on Broadway and it chronicles the tempestuous nature of Huey's life in and outside of the Panthers. And not only did the play elucidate the pressures of Dr. Newton's life, but it also made me think about others who benefited from it unknowingly. That's a point I wanna' delve deeper into for a sec'.  

John Edgar Hoover...J. Edgar to most people, was instrumental in founding the FBI in 1935 and remained there until his death in 1972. He died at the age of 77.  

Frustrated by supreme court decisions that limited the justice departments capabilities to prosecute people for no good reason, he organized a covert 'dirty tricks' program called 'COINTELPRO'. Now, it was stated that this program was basically put in motion to stave off the 'communist threat' in this country; but what it wound up being was an organized terrorist campaign aimed squarely at Black revolutionaries. And the Black Panthers were directly in its cross-hairs. 

J. Edgar wrote that he wanted to stop the rising of a 'Black messiah'; and this led to COINTELPRO's organized document forgings, phone taps, burglaries and murders. 

Now, what made the Black Panthers so extraordinary, besides the fact that they had the guts to take up arms when Black christians were ordered to become non-violent pacifists, was they REFUSED to accept white people into their ranks. And being that this was hardly the case before in any other Black liberation movement, J.Edgar could not infiltrate them with his lily white agents. 

And mind you, at the time, every FBI agent was white. 

So begrudgingly, Hoover had to hire Black people to get someone on the inside of the Panther's ranks. 

And after he did, it was said that whole chapters of the Panthers were comprised mostly of his Black agents. 

Now, the grand irony here is that Dr. Newton's stance against white supremacy is what got these Black toms their jobs. Whether they knew it or not; and the lesson here is that it's the extremist revolutionary acts of Black people that ultimately bring about the most change for the rest of us. Pandering and assimilating to white mores usually winds up benefiting a select few of us, but overall, this does nothing in the way of really changing the lives of the Black diaspora. (Barack Obama)

It kinda' reminds me of the travails I had with a certain financial institution near where I once lived. 

I don't know if you've heard of the 'Woodforest' banking franchise, but basically these 'stores' are glorified check cashing establishments fronting as banks. Albeit they are FDIC insured--how on earth they got that to happen is a miracle...then again, maybe not; 'cause I've heard the high ranking executives of this company are a bunch of white bigots, and you know how they stick together. 

So one day I go to this 'bank' which was in my local Wal-mart, and I try to receive some money that had been wired to me from Western Union. I was told that the Western Union services were down, and I could only 'send' money, but I couldn't 'receive' any. When I asked why the service was working to send money but not receive it, I was told it was a problem on Western Union's end. So I called Western Union, and they said their services had been working fine all day. So I immediately knew that the white women over at Woodforest were lying. So, I had one of Western Union's reps. call Woodforest; and those bigoted bi&ches told the rep. that they were having problems with 'their' database. And later, I found out that was a lie.

You see, I knew what time it was; they were just a bunch of bigoted inbreds who didn't want to provide this service to Black people. Guess they thought we're all trying to run scams through Western Union. 

After this, I needed to use Western Union's services again, and the only other outlet was across town, so I called Woodforest before going there, to see if their Western Union services were 'up'. And after five calls, no one picked up the phone. I had to go to Wal-mart anyhow, so I stopped by this 'bank' and asked if I could receive some money; guess what they told me...their services were out. When I told the pale-skinned piece of trailer trash I was talking to that I tried to call before coming to see if their services were working, she just said...I'm sorry about that. I told her, not as sorry as you're gonna' be. 

Long story short, I called the corporate offices of this 'bank' and after about a week, I got a hold of the bank's regional manager. He assured me that the matter would be taken care of. And now, not only am I able to use their Western Union services, but I saw a drastic change in the look of their staff. 

Mind you, the staff of this place was lily white; but a couple of days after contacting the bank's regional manager, I saw two Black women behind the counter. I was like...get the hell outta' here. Then I thought, I wonder if these sistas know that they got that job because I complained to the 'bank's' regional manager. Now I know what you're thinking...you're saying, you can't take credit for those black women's jobs. But trust me, I'd never seen black women on their staff previously, and I know for a fact that the managers of that bank never thought any Black person would have the temerity to do what I did. So they made changes to 'clean' up their image by hiring a couple of our people.

Now I'm not likening myself to Dr. Newton, but the bottom line is this, it's the radical changes that result in the most progress for our people. We need to stop being epic anglophiles and be bold enough to really challenge the white supremacist institutions that keep us oppressed in this country. 

And because I did something radically different, that really shook those inbreds up...a couple of our people have jobs that they might not have otherwise.

So for battles well fought and a life well-lived, I say REST IN PEACE AND POWER TO THE NETCHER/NEGUS/GOD DR. HUEY P. NEWTON.  

Every Black man is better off for having known you or known about you!
